Digital marketing for nonprofits

Every marketing dollar is a dollar someone gave to your mission. We plan like it.

We run social, email, paid media, creators, video, and websites for nonprofits across the country, from a donor program on the National Mall to statewide health campaigns in Colorado and Oklahoma. We're very aware of budget constraints, and we help with grants when you need it. We make digital make sense.

Sound familiar?

The problems we get hired to solve

“Our budget is whatever is left after programs.”

Marketing competes with the mission for every dollar, and a big-agency retainer was never an option.

What we do: Work scoped to what you can spend, with Google Ad Grants, in-kind placements, and free tools doing as much of the lifting as possible.

“The grant pays for it, but we have to prove it worked.”

Restricted funding comes with a window, a geography, and a report your funder will actually read.

What we do: We help with the grant pieces when you need it, and set up the tracking before launch so the results are there when the report is due.

“Our email, social, and ads don't talk to each other.”

Different people, different vendors, and no way to tell which channel brought in the donor.

What we do: One plan across every channel, with donations and sign-ups tracked back to the campaign that earned them.

Social and email

Community nonprofits

Some of our longest relationships are with community nonprofits in Northern Virginia and beyond, where a small team needs a marketing partner that understands the mission.

NOVA ScriptsCentral

A charitable pharmacy in Falls Church serving uninsured Northern Virginians. Social media on four platforms, weekly video, seasonal Facebook ads, website updates, a Giving Tuesday content shoot, and a new-patient survey in English and Spanish.

The Liv Project

A Colorado youth suicide prevention nonprofit. A social media strategy to grow its audience, drive web traffic and donations, and promote its film, game, and parent panels.

Our Stomping Ground

A Northern Virginia community for adults with developmental disabilities. Social media and email strategy, monthly reporting, and fundraising materials for the board, including a PSA video.

Search and AI visibility

Show up when people ask AI where to give

Donors and volunteers ask ChatGPT and other AI engines which organizations are doing good work on a cause, and where to help nearby. If your nonprofit isn't named in the answer, you're not in the running.

Answer engine optimization, run alongside traditional SEO, is how you grow AI visibility: structured content and clean site data, so the engines can find you, understand you, and cite you.

Why MtoM

Why nonprofits work with us

  1. 01

    We plan around your budget

We're very aware of budget constraints. We'll tell you the one or two things that will move donations or sign-ups most for what you can spend, and use Ad Grants and free tools wherever they work.

  2. 02

    We help with grants

When a grant is on the line, we help with the pieces that touch marketing: the campaign plan, the budget, the tracking, and the results your funder asks for.

  3. 03

    Numbers your board accepts

Every campaign is tracked to a donation, sign-up, or purchase wherever it can be, and reported with a platform and a date range behind every figure.

Before you book

Questions nonprofits usually ask

We're small. Is there a version of this we can afford?

Yes. Many of our nonprofit relationships started with one piece, a social retainer, a single campaign, or a giving-day push, and grew from there. On the call we'll name the piece that moves donations or sign-ups most for your budget.

Do you manage Google Ad Grants?

We do, including the compliance rules that get grant accounts suspended. We run grant and paid search together so they don't bid against each other.

Can you help with a grant?

Yes. We help with the marketing side of grant applications and reports: the campaign plan and budget going in, and the results coming out. Tracking is set up before launch, so the report answers the questions your funder will ask.

Can you work on sensitive topics?

Yes. We've worked on suicide prevention, reproductive health, and access to medicine, and we know the ad platform rules that come with them. Messaging is written with care and reviewed with your team before anything runs.
