How MtoM started

MtoM began with a group of parents. Christine Wilson was president of MONA, the Mothers of North Arlington, a group of 3,000 local moms. Businesses kept asking her the same question: how do we reach these families?

In 2011 she started MtoM to answer it. The name stood for marketing to moms, and the early work was exactly that: connecting brands with mothers through the bloggers, events, and online communities they already trusted.

That work made MtoM an early influencer marketing agency, years before the term was common. Brands came to us for creators who could speak to their audience in their own voice, and for campaigns measured on what actually happened, not just how many people saw a post.

From marketing to moms to full-service digital

Clients who hired us for influencers started asking for more: someone to run their social channels, then their ads, then the content and video to fill them, then the website it all pointed to. We said yes, built the team to do it well, and MtoM grew into a full-service digital agency. At its peak the team was 25 people.

The client list grew with it. We have marketed more than 20 restaurants and more than 70 hotels, including 49 Marriott properties, along with national nonprofits, trade associations, children's museums, universities, and consumer brands.

We kept the name. Today the two M's and the cursor in our logo stand for the same idea that started the company: moving a client from where they are to where they want to be.

How we work

We are a boutique agency on purpose. The people who pitch your account are the people who run it, and you always know who to call.

We tie spend to results you can check. That often means building or fixing the tracking, ticketing, or e-commerce setup before the first ad runs, so the numbers in your report are real.

You own everything: your ad accounts, your data, and your creative. If you ever leave, it all goes with you.
