Catching Sexual Predators (Tracey’s Latest Article in Newsweek)
I want to share a link to my latest article in Newsweek because I think the topic is important to moms and parents everywhere: protecting our children from sexual predators.
The crux of my article is a new mobile app called My Mobile Watchdog. This app allows parents to monitor their child’s cell phone activity — mostly important, it alerts parents when a stranger makes contact with child via social network, text, phone, or app. Through my research and reporting, I discovered many instances when parents (and law enforcement) used this technology to thwart a predator.
