What I Learned in 2014
Is there anything better than the endless lists that mark the end of one year and the beginning of another? Of course, we are resolving to eat better, exercise more, grow our business, etc. etc. We are also resolving to take the lessons learned in 2014 to heart and to share them with our clients and followers.
- Social media is ALWAYS changing and as soon as you get your clients used to something, it is different.
- Your social strategy can not rely on only one channel- identify 2 or 3 that work with you target audience.
- You must pay to play on Facebook as a business.
- Social advertising is powerful and targeted, but you must have a good landing page.
- You need to have a plan to create video content in 2015! Video is rewarded and engaging- grab your phone or GoPro and have some fun.
- Influencers go far beyond blogs- and emerging social channel influencers can have a BIG impact.
- Be sure to double check all social posts AND don’t hijack a trending # without understanding the meaning behind it.
- A company blog should be incorporated into your social strategy.
- Mobile is taking over– all research points to a mobile dominant environment for content absorption, e-commerce, and social.
- The most important lesson of 2014- when your business grows, surround yourself with amazing people and wonderful things will happen!
