Free Family Movie at the Mosaic District Sunday Night!
More Language Stars news for our friends in DC!
Sunday marks the first annual Language Stars Family Foreign Language Film Festival at the Mosaic District to expose children and their families to movies in other languages. The debut film, The LEGO® Movie, will be played in Spanish with English subtitles.
If you’re in the area, be sure to check it out! Make a picnic or grab something easy from the many restaurants nearby (pizza! salads! Mexican! Vietnamese! organic hot dogs! gelato!) and get out of the house during your kids’ witching hours!
Besides showing your kids a fun night, exposing your children to films they love in a second language allows them to optimize his or her learning potential, and helps to shape their brain at its most flexible stage.
When and Where:
Sunday, August 24.
Movie begins at 5pm.
The open air movie screen at Mosaic District
2910 District Avenue
Fairfax, VA 22031
at Lee Highway & Gallows Road
This is a FREE event for families.
Can’t make it on the 24th? Loved the event on the 24th and want to get out again? There will also be a showing of “Despicable Me 2” in Spanish as part of Language Star’s Family Foreign Language Film Night on September 14 @ 5:00 PM!
