5 Must Have Apps for Creating Great Social Media Images on Your Phone

We are no longer tethered to our laptops or desktops and smart phones can do more and more- so why shouldn’t you be able to manage your social media from your phone. Apps like Sprout Social and Facebook Pages obviously make it easier to schedule posts but what apps do you need to create great social media images on your phone. Here are 5 that I can’t live without-

Shutterstock App

Shutterstock

1. Shutterstock– We have a Shutterstock account which gives me access to 25 downloads/day for $249/month which I believe to be one of the most affordable stock photos options available if you need that volume of stock images. You can still use this app without an account and pay for individual images. It is important to start with a picture that you are licensed to use and not to just take any image from the internet. Shutterstock has a huge library to choose from and it is very easy to download the image directly to your phone or tablet.

Over

2. Over– I really love using this app because it is so easy to use and brings your images to life, whether you add a quote or logo or a URL to brand the image. There are a variety of fonts and colors to choose from and they offer packs of artwork and inspiration to get you started.

3. Pic-Tap-Go– I use this app to add filters to my images (save my combination of filters as a recipe) and also to share them across multiple social platforms. One of my favorite features is the ability to post a non-square image to Instagram without cutting it off on the sides.

4. After Photo– I consider this a more advanced version of Over and Pic-Tap-Go and because it can do a bit more, it can also be a little bit more complicated to use. You can add text, artwork, apply effects and filters as well as put text behind objects and create broken text and shadow.

5. Flipagram– There is nothing better than creating a short video from your pictures, especially if you have series that can tell a story. You should check out my Flipagram below or we have it posted on Instagram, Facebook and Twitter!
